Leona Walton, commonly known as Binx, is the latest tomboy in the fashion industry. Raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, she was often mistaken for a boy, and was more interested in football than modelling.
Signed to Next Model Managment in 2012, she made her debut in Marc Jacobs AW 2013. Since moving to NYC, where her agency is based, her career never stopped.
While becoming more and more successful, Binx was then featured on several magazines covers, like i-D, British Vogue, Teen Vogue and Garage.
In February 2014, i-D magazine called her ‘the future face of fashion’.
Appearing in major brands adverts such as Chanel (with Cara Delevingne), Balmain, Celine and Fendi, Leona, still a teenager, dominates catwalks and is also ranked in the Top 50 models.
Her street style is far from being ordinary: rarely seen in dresses or skirts, she seems to prefer loose outfits, boyfriend jeans, sneakers and sweatshirts.
